Our STORY
Why the Family Church?

Family is rooted in the Trinitarian nature of God. Just as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one family in relationship with one another, so is His church (John 17:21). From the beginning of creation, God declared, "It is not good that the man should be alone" (Genesis 2:18). Not only did God create and bless the marriage relationship, he extended familial and relational attributes to his church (Romans 12:10).

Our Story
Family Church NOLA was formed with a mission and vision rooted in the Lord's commands to his people: Love God Passionately and Love People Personally (Mark 12:29-31). In March 2020 Restoration Church and Crossroads Community Church came together under a new name and vision: Family Church. This core group started meeting online beginning Easter Sunday 2020 followed by in-person gatherings in June 2020. Our soft launch as a church family occurred in the middle of the Covid-19 global pandemic with socially distanced Sunday worship gatherings and midweek online groups via Zoom. Our grand opening was scheduled just days after Hurricane Ida hit Greater New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana. In the days following the storm, our church mobilized through generous partnerships to give away more than 10,000 meals, thousands of supplies, and impact hundreds of homes. On Sunday, September 12, 2021, Family Church gathered with over 100 people under a tent to celebrate Jesus together. What better "grand opening" could we have asked for? While the damage wrought to our property caused us to temporarily relocate to make needed repairs and upgrades, Family Church celebrated our Grand Re-Opening in January 2023 at 3233 Loyola Drive, Kenner, LA 70065!
