mission & Vision
Family Mission

Love God Passionately. Love People Personally.

Family Church's mission statement is taken directly from the Great Commandment of Matthew 22:35-40, Mark 12:28-34, and Luke 10:27. The adverbs added emphasize our local contextualization of the Great Commandment. "Passionately" represents a challenge to celebrate and treasure God above everyone and everything else. We live in a city that knows how to "passionately" celebrate things and people mostly related to football, food, and festivals. "Personally" represents a countercultural charge in our day and age to engage people on an intentional, interpersonal level amidst our digital realities (social media, internet, etc.) and distanced lifestyles.

Family Vision
We exist to grow the family of God from New Orleans to the nations.

Family Church's vision statement is taken directly from the Great Commission of Matthew 28:16-20, Mark 16:14-18, Luke 24:44-49, John 20:19-23, and Acts 1:4-8. Making disciples begins in our Jerusalem, Greater New Orleans, and extends through partnerships in missionary sending, missions support, and church planting extending into our region, state, country, and world.
